Top 10 Fastest Football Players in 2015

Players like Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are often said to be lightning quick on the ground, while Lionel Messi’s bursts on the ball seen to reach greater speeds than most manage out of possession, but just who exactly is the fastest of them all? A study commissioned by FIFA attempted to answer that question; however this one is based on the facts supplied by FIFA. According to Sepp Blatter’s organization these are the top 10 fastest footballers on the planet.

10. ALEXIS SANCHEZ:

Speed- 30.1 km/h
Alexis Sanchez, who is the 10th quickest on the list, he is a speedy Chilean winger has reached a top speed of 30.1 km/h.

9.  ARJEN ROBBEN:

Speed- 30.4 km/h
Arjen Robben has been terrorizing defenders on the wing for a number of years now, so it’s no surprise to see him on the track of top 10. Dutch forward Arjen Robben of European and German champions Bayern Munich combines his speed and dribbling making him one of the world’s top players. He’s also reached a speed of 30.4 km/h.


8. FRANCK RIBERY:

Speed- 30.7 km/h
Robben’s team-mate Franck Ribery is equally formidable, and slightly quicker. He is in 8th position on the list.

6. LIONEL MESSI:

Speed- 32.5 km/h
Messi’s dribbling, shooting and passing are often highlighted, but his pace is certainly one of the Argentine’s assets, too.  The Barcelona forwarder Messi is in 6th position on our list. He is famous for his goal scoring ability.

5. THEO WALCOTT:

Speed- 32.7 km/h
Arsenal striker Theo Walcott is in 5th position. The 2nd Arsenal star on the list after Alexis Sanchez, He is slightly quicker than Alexis Sanchez. Arsenals are hoping to see Theo Walcott tearing down the wing again soon.

4. CRISTIANO RONALDO:

Speed- 33.6 km/h
Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo speed is 33.k km/h. Cristiano Ronaldo likes fast, he have fastest car collection. Cristiano Ronaldo combines pace and power to great effect and is the fourth fastest footballer in the world.

3. AaRON LENNON:

Speed- 33.8 km/h
Tottenham fans know all about the pace if Aaron Lennon, who is apparently even quicker than Walcott, Ronaldo, Messi and Robben.

2. GARETH BALE:

Speed- 34.7 km/h
He is slightly quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo. He is in second on the top 10 fastest players list. Gareth Bale just misses out on top spot to an possibly surprising victor.

1. ANTONIO VALENCIA:

Speed- 35.1 km/h
Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia was, somewhat surprisingly, crowned the fastest player in the world according to the FIFA study.
