PES 2017: KONAMI Unveils Incredible New Player Models

KONAMI reveals incredibly life-like facial scans of David De Gea from Manchester United and Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, following the release of the PES 2017 demo.

PES 2017 developer Konami is taking the battle to FIFA 17 with some of the most realistic player facial models ever created.

The PES 2017 Twitter feed has posted a side-by-side shot of various player faces from the upcoming game.

Manchester United and Liverpool fans have been treated to shots of David De Gea and Philippe Coutinho, while Toni Kroos, Ivan Rakiti? and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also appear.

Man Utd goalkeeper De Gea has been singled out for particular praise, with one fan asking if he had been scanned.

"Nope," replied the Pro Evolution Soccer Twitter feed. "Magic and incredible work from our development team."

Another Tweet reads: "Blurring the lines between in-game and reality."

Describing the selection as "some of the top player faces in PES 2017", Konami has promised to unveil more in the lead up to launch.

You can see the new PES 2017 player faces below:

PES 2017 fans can check out even more player faces by downloading the Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 demo for free on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Launching ahead of the demo for fierce rival FIFA 17, the PES 2017 trial features a total of nine teams, including international heavyweights France and Germany.

Players can also play as seven different club teams from Atlético Madrid, Arsenal, Barcelona, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Corinthians and Flamengo.

"The award winning series returns taking the famed gameplay to a new level by achieving interactive reality in both control and new authentic visuals," reads the PES 2017 product page.

"Download the demo now to experience new features such as Real Touch and Precise Pass. The new features compliment the focus for the series, which is enjoying playing PES with friends."

The demo is out now in the UK and other European territories, where it can be downloaded for free.

PES 2017 will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC from September 15 in Europe and September 13 in North America.

The new game has adopted what it describes as the "Control Reality" ethos, which supposedly adds realistic new control elements.

Konami is said to be focusing on first touch, the making and receiving of passes, adaptive intelligence and more.

Its arch-rival FIFA 17, meanwhile, is trying to improve the physical side of the game, having recently picked a new cover star to replace Lionel Messi.
