PES 2017 Trailer Leaves a Bad Taste in My Mouth

All I can think about is Alex Hunter and FIFA 17. The new story mode deployed by EA Sports will most likely garner some attention, similar to NBA 2K’s addition. Moreover, it’s the first of its kind and quite simply, I don’t believe Konami has an answer. They’re always behind in my book, even with improved quality of gameplay.

I saw the PES 2017 E3 trailer and wondered, is that it? FIFA 17 will sport new features, game engine, and brave new addition of the story mode, but what will Konami offer? The trailer seems to be an over-bloated cinematic effect lacking quality and sharpness in image. The gameplay seems slow and graphics pre-historic.

Here’s the teaser trailer.

Awful. I could have probably done a bit better during my first year in Film and Media Studies at college, back when I thought everything needed slow-mo. The music sounds like it’s been found on cassette at a car boot sale and it’s edited as if the world will end if there isn’t a cut every other second.

I’m a bit surprised at Konami’s effort. Let’s see what happens in the ensuing months . .
